于南开大学化学系获硕士学位和博士学位。 1990年起在天津大学化学系工作。
主要研究方向：
（1）功能材料配合物的设计、合成、结构、性质与应用研究
（2）抗癌活性杂环化合物的设计、合成、结构与性质研究
（3）有机 - 无机杂化型超分子化合物的设计、合成、结构、性质与应用研究
（4）精细化学品的制备、提纯、生产工艺改进及污染治理。
